Access

From Soranzen - Toschian. The whole of the valley bottom can be reached by car

Difficulty reaching and moving about in the area

Lago della Stua in the Val di Canzoi (Cesiomaggiore), point of departure for some of the Park's most beautiful itineraries

Habitat

Pools along the Caorame Torrent for almost the full length starting from Orsera and ponds (Lame di Sant'Eustacchio).

Wildlife to look out for

Common toad, fire salamander, alpine newt, common frog, white-throated dipper, grey wagtail, passerines (robin, blackcap, blackbird, marsh tit, coal tit, long-tailed tit, etc.), roe deer

Equipment

Rubber boots are advisable, together with a guide to amphibians

Notes

The Lame di Sant'Eustacchio are especially worth visiting as they represent one of the most interesting sites for amphibians and reptiles in the pre-Park area
