Access to the Park

Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi is situated in the Veneto Region, precisely in the southern section of the Province of Belluno, at less than one hundred kilometers from the town of Venice.
The main towns representing a gateway to the Park are Belluno and Feltre.

By car
You can reach Belluno from Mestre and Venice, driving along highway A27 (exit Pian di Vedòia) and then, for a short stretch, along SS 51 road up to Ponte nelle Alpi, and then along the SS 50 road. If you come from Padua, you should go ahead along the highway A4 (Milano-Venezia) to Mestre toll booth and, from there, reach Belluno along the highway A27.
You can reach Feltre from Vicenza driving along Val d'Astico highway A31 (exit Dueville), going ahead along SS 47 (Val Sugana) almost to Primolano, then a stretch of SS 50 bis and SS 51 roads.
If you come from the north, the main access roads to reach Feltre are: if you come from Trento, the SS 47 road (Superstrada della Val Sugana) to Primolano, and if you come from Passo Rolle the SS 50; in Belluno, if you come from Cortina d'Ampezzo and the Austrian border, the SS 51 road (di Alemagna).
From Friuli Venezia Giulia, if you come from Gorizia, Trieste, and the Slovene border, you should take the highway A4, and then take the highway A27 to Belluno before reaching Mestre; if you come from Udine and Pordenone, take the SS 13 road to Vittorio Veneto and then then the SS 51 road towards Ponte nelle Alpi and from there a short stretch of SS 50 to Belluno.
The Park is crossed by two main roads: SP road no. 2 of Valle del Mis and SS Agordina road no. 203 in the stretch of the lower Val Cordévole. They run almost parallel and are divided by Monti del Sole mountain group; they connect the central part of Val Belluna and the Agordino area.

There is no other access road to the Park area besides SS203 Agordina climbing up Val Cordevole and the roads of Val Canzoi and Valle del Mis. Forest roads and trails are strictly forbidden to vehicles.

By train
Feltre and Belluno are served by Padova-Montebelluna-Feltre-Belluno-Calalzo railway line (Padova-Feltre are about 83km about 1hr. 30 min.; Feltre-Belluno 31km 30 min.); bicycle transport by train is possible. Direct trains from Venice to Belluno follow the Venezia-Treviso-Conegliano-Ponte nelle Alpi-Belluno railway line (160km in about 2hrs.).
