Purposes of the Conference:

• Analyze the situation and perspectives of the Protected Area National System
• Assess and discuss the international programs and strategies considering the role of the Italian Protected Areas in the European nature conservation context
• Highlight the experiences and “good practices” linked to the management of the Italian Protected Areas, assess the strong and weak points in the management policies, also in view of the 3rd Protected Area National Conference.
