Fifteenth anniversary of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park

Fifteenth anniversary of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
In 2008 falls the fifteenth anniversary of the foundation of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
In order to give this anniversary adequate importance, the following events are scheduled:

• 24th of May - Belluno
  a presentation of Dal Mas's book "how a park is born", in collaboration with Club Alpino Italiano (Italian Alpine Club)
• 21st -22nd of June - Feltre
  A special 15 years summer feast
• from the 5th to the 27th of July - Valle Imperina
  An exhibition on mosaics, by Dario Sogmaister, and an exhibition on miniature reproductions of old buildings, by Giuseppe Toscani
• 11th of July - Feltre
  An international meeting: "Has Law 394 to be changed? Light and shadows of 17 years' application of the framework act on protected areas - a confrontation of Italian and international experiences" , in collaboration with the Ministery for the Environment, Federparchi, Europarc, Aidap, cultural, scientific and environment protecting associations, Universities, and the Administrations of the Bellunese area. Experts coming from U.S.A., Argentina, Chile, Montenegro, France, Germany...have been invited to participate
  In the evening at Belluno, in Piazza Piloni, a musical concert will be held for the young citizens of the Park.
• 12th of July - in different areas
  • Inauguration of the Park's cultural centre "Piero Rossi" at Belluno, in the presence of the hon. Minister for the Environment and the hon. President of the Veneto Region.
  • Inauguration of the Pian Falcina area and of the botanical garden Val del Mis.
• 26th -27th of July - Valle Imperina
  A special 15 years summer feast.

  • Inauguration of the environment education centre "La Santina" ( to be defined)
  • Inauguration of the bivacco (bivouac) Tavernazzo (to be defined)
  • Inauguration of the bivacco (bivouac) casera Vescovà (to be defined)
  • A photographic exhibition on the 15 years of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park - Valle Imperina, at the smelting furnaces from June onwards
  • Notes among the clouds - Cajada in August
  • Notes among the clouds - malga (dairy house) Prampèr in August
  • Notes among the clouds - rifugio (Alpine hut) Boz in August
  • Dolomiti Park Road 7th -10th of August
  • The great Park crossing - a one-week trekking from Forno di Zoldo to Feltre
  • A presentation of the book "The history of an idea. How a Park is born " by G. Dal Mas
