Classe: Uccelli (Aves)
Walking along the banks of a stream, it is easy to see a Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) naturally diving into the water to capture its preys, consisting of small aquatic animals. This bird, which lives in close relation to clear mountain streams, can swim and walk on the bed of the streams with no difficulty at all.
Another bird living along the banks of shallow waters or in wetlands is the Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea), with its elegant tapered body ending in a long tail, which the animal wags in a characteristic way.
