A Bluebell as a Guarantee

In order to promote the Park area, consisting not only of naturalistic and historic values, but also of cultural, human and economic important features, the "Carta Qualità" project was born: a series of criteria according to which the logo of the Park is awarded to services and products ensuring a minimum quality standard and respecting certain criteria of environment protection. The foodstuffs produced in the Park and in the adjacent areas are many, but not all of them can boast the Campanula (bluebell) symbol of the protected area. As a matter of fact, the logo is awarded to the products obtained from organic farming or having a designation of origin recognized by the European Union, like for instance the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) obtained by Lamon bean. The logo of the Park is also awarded to "traditional products": they are products with over 25 years of history and included in a special list prepared by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture; among the others, the list includes butter and cheese produced in the malghe, Dolomiti Bellunesi honey, kodinzon, and Feltre walnut. In order to obtain the logo of the Park, the agri-foodstuffs must come from holdings situated in the territory of the 15 Park Municipalities.
