Entomologists consider that the Park houses from 3 to 4 thousand insect species. Currently, about 1,500 species have been found and classified.
Among them, 106 different diurnal butterflies, over 600 different types of nocturnal butterflies, 27 grasshopper species and 13 dragonflies can be observed.
Among the coleoptera it is worth mentioning the many endemic species and the decreasing ones, such as the Rosalia alpina: a wonderful black and blue beetle living in the old beech forests.
