The Producers joining the Quality Charter, a bellflower as a guarantee
In order to promote the Park area, consisting of naturalistic and historical values, as well as cultural and human aspects, the project “Carta Qualità” was born: a series of criteria according to which the Park logo is awarded to the food and craftsmanship products and to the tourist services that can guarantee a minimum quality standard and the respect of fixed criteria of environmental safeguard.
The food products produced in the Park and in the adjacent areas are several, but not all of them can boast the Campanula, the symbol of the protected area. As a matter of fact, the logo is awarded to products obtained from organic agriculture methods or to products with a designation of origin recognized by the European Union, as for instance the IGP (PGI, protected geographical indication) granted to Lamon bean. The Park logo is also awarded to “traditional products”, that is products with a history of over 25 years which are included in a special list drawn up by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This list includes, among the others: butter and cheese produced in malghe, the honey of Dolomiti Bellunesi, kodinzon, and Feltre walnut.
In order to obtain the Park logo, the food and agricultural products must come from companies situated within the territory of the 15 Park Municipalities.
